Kelly mchugh-stewart expresses her frustration as nfl players are being called out and criticized for protesting what they believe in. what some view as disrespect, is only an act of trying to get their voice heard and noticed. THE AUTHOR OF THE 'NEW YORK TIMES' POST APPEALS TO ETHOS AS SHE BUILDS CREDIBILITY FROM FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCES. AS A DAUGHTER OF a former military man, the national anthem and flag of the country is a very important symbol for her. another appeal is to logos is also present as she speaks of examples and why she felt kneeling was disrespectful to her country at first. stewart presents a critical and serious tone. she is critical of the president and other races and backgrounds and how they feel. she also has a serious tone when speaking of how racism is still present and how many still face it today. along with facing racism, others also face criticism when trying to fight for what is right and protesting.

Managing Head Trauma in Children
many children fall at least one point of their life. while very common, parents experience a moment of fear as their child hurts THEMSELVES. as long as the child remains conscious and acts normally, according to dr. jennings, the child should be fine.
perri klass, a m.d (doctor of medicine) appeals to ethos as she establishes credibility to her readers by having a personal experience of having her own child fall. this allows the reader to feel that the author knows what she is talking about. KLASS ALSO APPEALS TO PATHOS, ESPECIALLY THROUGH HER TITLE AS SHE FOCUSES ON THE HEALTH OF CHILDREN, A SENSITIVE TOPIC. OTHER PARENTS READING THIS ARTICLE MAY FEEL AN EMOTIONAL TIE AS THEY ALSO HAVE CHILDREN OF THEIR OWN.
throughout the article, she develops a serious yet hopeful tone. children are also a serious topic when it comes to their health. a grave injury can later result in devastating news for a child and their future., especially head injuries. klass provides a hopeful tone and notes other professionals who assure parents that a small head injury for the child is not a big issue as long as they are still conscious and reaching to responses and light.
klass' appeal to logos by referencing other professionals creates credibility it establishes a sense of trust between the author and reader as they can also reference the article in order to gain comfort in a way. the professionals also use statistics to show how many children go to the hospital due to head injuries.
the claim of the article is to inform parents of the mild to severe head injuries children have and how some of them do not need to be seen by a ct scan as it can only put the child in more danger because of the high radiation exposure. it brings attention to the unnecessary need of parents to bring their children to seek medical attention.

thE AUTHOR'S MAIN ARGUMENT IN THE ARTICLE IS THAT there has been a rise in racism within the political world as some leaders in the republican party are encouraging racism. She also states that tHese leaders praise Others who discriminate against a race.

After a massacre, a question of one more death: the gunman's
in wake of a very tragic event many wonder if the gunman will be sentenced to death. unfortunately many questions arise, regarding the overall effect of the penalty. sentencing the man to death will lead to more than just him being executed. the author also demonstrates how a large amount of work and thought needs to be put into the outcome to prevent future consequences.
